National LGBTQ+ Movement Scenario Planning Workshop

Human Rights Campaign

Objective

Designed and facilitated a strategy-building workshop for leaders of the fifteen largest LGBTQ+ organizations in the United States. This initiative was part of a broader post-election scenario planning body of work facilitated by the Excellence in Changemaking Institute in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign. This session aimed to strengthen leaders' ability to align across diversity, build shared strategic goals, and collaborate effectively in complex environments.

Adult Learning Methodologies

  • Scenario Planning: Prepared leaders for multiple potential political and social outcomes.

  • Reflection Exercises: Enabled leaders to assess alignment and refine approaches.

Outcomes

Participating organizations are now delivering unprecedented cross-movement aligned messaging, sharing strategic priorities, and building collaborative organizing efforts. Leadership teams are equipped with actionable strategies to navigate hostile environments with resilience and purpose.
